Get ready for the latest installment in the “Mashin Hero Wataru” series! The TV anime “Mashin Souzouden Wataru” is set to begin broadcasting on six TV Tokyo affiliated stations in January 2025.
To build up the excitement, new visuals and promotional videos have been released, giving fans a glimpse into the world of “Mashin Souzouden Wataru”. The anime’s characters, cast, and staff have also been announced.
Tamura Mutsumi will voice Hoshibe Wataru, Tanezaki Atsumi as Amabe Kakeru, Konishi Katsuyuki as O-Furain, Umezawa Megu as Maro, and Kugimiya Rie as the demon Ryujinmaru. Directed by Kamakura Yumi and produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, the film will also feature a secret character, Uzume, along with demons Fuujinmaru, Kirinmaru, Tenshomaru, and Jugomaru.
The production of “Mashin Souzouden Wataru” was announced in January this year, and it promises to continue the essence of the beloved “Mashin Hero Wataru” series, which has been broadcast since 1988. The story follows the protagonist, Hoshibe Wataru, as he becomes a “RyuTuber” aiming to become a superstar. Alongside his partner Ryujinmaru, Wataru embarks on an adventure and battles in a parallel world of floating blocks.
Manga Series to Debut in Monthly CoroCoro Comic
In addition to the anime, the manga series “Mashin Souzouden Wataru” will start serialization in the January 2025 issue of Monthly CoroCoro Comic (Shogakukan), which will be released on December 13th.
Merchandise and Pre-Orders
From December onwards, fans can look forward to the release of plastic models featuring the five genies depicted in the new visuals. Goods featuring illustrations of the characters and genies will also be available for pre-order at Premium Bandai’s shop, BanColle, starting in January 2025, with deliveries scheduled to begin in March.
