Yakuza Fiancé Tv Anime Releases First Trailer and Announces Additional Cast Members

The highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Konishi Asuka’s original work, “Yakuza Fiancé,” has released its first trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the intriguing story and characters. The anime is set to premiere on TOKYO MX and BS11 in October.

Trailer and Story

The first PV trailer showcases the meeting between Yoshino Somei, voiced by Hitomi Ueda, and Kirishima Miyama, voiced by Akira Ishida, as well as Kirishima’s true nature. The video also features the character voices, setting the tone for the anime.

The story follows Yoshino, whose grandfather is the head of a gang, as she lives with the Miyama family, a direct descendant of the Tokusa-kai, the largest gang in the Kanto region. Her potential marriage partner, Kirishima, is a key character in the series.

Additional Cast Members

Two new cast members have been announced:

  • Koji Yusa will play Toriashi Shoma, an adopted son of Somei-gumi boss Renji Somei and an old friend of Yoshino who is like family to him. Yusa commented on his impression of Shoma, “Shoma is not a very friendly person, and he doesn’t say much, but inside he is filled with very strong feelings.”
  • Hiroshi Kamiya will play Suo Azami, a mysterious man who appears before Kirishima looking for Yoshino and is so dangerous that he is able to take out an entire yakuza office by himself. Kamiya commented on the appeal of the work, “Even though what is being exchanged is life, it starts to seem like something that should be taken for granted… I think once you start to become numb to that, you’re obsessed with the charm.”

Ending Theme Song

The ending theme song, “Nani Wararottonen,” will be performed by Yoshino, a reader of the original work. Yoshino expressed her joy at being chosen to sing the theme song, commenting, “I tried my best to express the way the characters live their lives and the worldview that overflows from the work.” The song was composed by TeNiwoha.
